Fundraising
Fundraising is a very important part of our plans. To date we have raised £29,000 in the local community. We have made payments to our architects (Arch Henderson) and to the planning authority totalling £16,000. Now that the Big Lottery Fund and Highland Council have confirmed their awards it is important that we begin fundraising again.
There will be expenses associated with the project that are not covered by the grant making bodies and we will need funds in our kitty when the new hall is open next year. We will be organising a programme of events to take place during the coming months and seek your support. We will keep you informed of what is happening by posting details on this website.
 The committee ran a very successful baking stall at the Dunnet Forest Trusts Open Day. This opportunity to fundraise locally was very welcome with the Mey Hall currently unfit for use. A total of £242.75 was raised. A big thankyou to everyone who donated baking for the stall.
Mey Village Hall Committee will be holding a Prize Bingo (in aid of the Village Hall Renovation Project) in the Castle Arms Hotel, Mey on Friday 27 October 2006 at 7.30pm.

Car Treasure Hunt - Sunday 05 November 2006
Leaving the hall car park at 1.30pm, £5 per car which includes tea, there will also be a bottle stall and raffle.
Pub Quiz - Saturday 24 March 2007
We are having a pub quiz in the Castle Arms Hotel in Mey on Saturday 24 March 2007 at 8.00 pm for teams of four. Entry per team £5. Download the Poster for Full Details.

Flotilla Day
Mey Hall Committee have taken a stall at the Flotilla Day Event in Wick on Saturday 23 June 2007. On sale will be hot pancakes with various fillings, tea, coffee, home made tablet. There will also be lucky dip for children. Raffle tickets for the Grand Summer Draw will also be available.
Banner Advertising
The support of local businesses and other organisations will be crucial to our future success. Limited, rotating, banner advertising, charged at £100 per annum, is available on the Home page. But, please bear in mind, it's not the taking part which is important, it's the giving!
