Last year £3189.00 was raised by holding a quiz night, car treasure hunt, pancake stalls, quiz sheets, sponsored cycle and a fashion show. As the hall is due for completion at the end of October, we are now on the fundraising trail again to raise funds for furnishings and equipment for the new hall. The Committee had a stand at the recent Mey Games selling home made tablet, marmalade and sweets and the total sum of £141 was raised despite the terrible weather conditions on the day. Fashion Show – Saturday 8 November 2008 Our next fundraiser is a fashion show at the John O Groat Knitwear establishment. Tickets are limited so please phone Ellen on 01847 851 736 or Irene on 01847851706 to book tickets. Tickets are £5 and includes a light supper. There will also be a raffle on the night. Bag Packing - We are hoping to carry this out at one of the local supermarkets in October or Novermber so if anyone can help us out with this please contact Ellen (01847 851 736) or Irene (01847 851 706). Banner Advertising The support of local businesses and other organisations will be crucial to our future success. Limited, rotating, banner advertising, charged at £100 per annum, is available on the Home page. But, please bear in mind, it's not the taking part which is important, it's the giving! Please forward your cheque and contact details to our Secretary. We will then contact you to make the necessary arrangements. Reciprocal Links Would your organisation benefit from being associated with the Mey Hall Project and vice-versa? We are keen to have reciprocal links, with appropriate organisations, if it will raise our profile. In the first instance, please e-mail your website address to our Secretary. If your request is accepted we will contact you to make the necessary arrangements.
